Get to Know The First-Place Winner
Apex, NC has grown from tranquil Raleigh suburb to the place to be in the last few years. In 2015, Time Inc.’s Money named it the number one best place to live in the country, a list that’s highly competitive. The Wake County town is now home to around 45,000 people and is still quickly growing. Apex’s schools, of which there are currently 18, are known as some of the top-rated in the state. Not far from Apex is Research Triangle Park, 7,000 acres of big-name companies looking for the brightest and boldest minds, making Apex a comfortable place to live if you want a city job but not a city life. Though the area has seen a rise in recent residential development, Apex still maintains a small, charming atmosphere throughout its quaint, historic downtown streets.
